Welcome to the world

I’ll watch you gently breath

Breathe in our love

And what it all means

Welcome to the world

Such a beautiful place

So many things to discover

Within this in and outer space

So when you take your first steps

We will be watching cautiously

So if you push our hands away, well understand

But we’ll always be near, every step of the way

I’ll sing you a lullaby

I read you stories passing by

I paint the colours of the moon

With a distance tune

We’ll build a tower of coloured blocks

That sways and gently rocks

And If it topples, should I look away

Your giggle, says your hand has been at play

If you rummage through some old clothes

From Salvation Army stores

Looking for some costumes

That you may adore                                                         

Dressing up in make-believe

Planning the world……to deceive

With you super powers                                                

You’ll let go of my sleeve
